Narrow Angled Glaucoma- Another cause of improper drainage involves the reduction of the angle between the iris and the lens. In this the iris folds up and touches the lens causing a blockage to the flow of the aqueous humor towards the canal of schlemm. This type of glaucoma is known as narrow angled glaucoma and can be treated by iridectomy which is the cutting of the iris using a laser to relieve the pressure within the eye.

News September 2008

Article on Niosomes added.

Author: Akul Mehta
Abstract: Niosomes are a novel drug delivery system, in which the medication is encapsulated in a vesicle. The vesicle is composed of a bilayer of non-ionic surface active agents and hence the name niosomes. The niosomes are very small, and microscopic in size. Their size lies in the nanometric scale. Although structurally similar to liposomes, they offer several advantages over them. Niosomes have recently been shown to greatly increase transdermal drug delivery and also can be used in targeted drug delivery, and thus increased study in these structures can provide new methods for drug delivery.

Click here to read full article.

News August 2008

A totally revamped and refurnished PharmaXChange.info to service the needs of the visitors better. However, the FTP (file transfer protocol) doesn't seem to be working. I am working on it to make it restart so that I can put up the latest content on it. This should take about a week or two to get things going again. The site is gaining popularity to a great extent. Students and teachers of pharmacy, from all over India are visiting the site and complimenting me for making it, but I must not take credit for running the site, as the site runs only if visitors come to it. So as long as people are visiting it, the site will remain up.

And so the PharmaXChange blog starts

Hey there,
I am Akul Mehta and I am the creator of http://www.pharmaxchange.info
This blog is all about the latest information available on PharmaXChange and any news regarding the site.
