Classroom Presentation on Genetic Engineering:
Slides used by Prof. Vijaya Patil of MET Institute of Pharmacy to teach the topic of Genetic Engineering. It has everything needed to understand the basics of Genetic Engineering including its application, use of restriction enzymes and naming of restriction enzymes, steps in synthesizing a recombinant protein, DNA cloning, cleaving DNA and generating DNA fragments (using methods like mechanical shearing, shotgun method, restriction digest method, hybridization method, reverse transcriptase, and chemical synthesis methods), producing recombinant DNA/ insertion of target DNA into vectors, and Vectors such as plasmids, bacteriophages, cosmids, phage vectors, phasmid, yeast cloning vectors, bacterial and human artificial chromosomes, Shuttle vectors, and vectors used in plants - Ti plasmids. It also covers topics on screening techniques, and library screening.
